Founded in 1993 by Russ Nelson, John Tietz, and Tina Hoye, NTH began as Nelson, Tietz & Hoye with a clear purpose: to provide objective real estate advice to organizations that use space. From the beginning, the Minneapolis-based firm has focused exclusively on representing tenants, owners, and nonprofit organizations rather than landlords, giving clients independent guidance through complex commercial real estate and construction decisions.
Over more than three decades, NTH has grown into a trusted commercial real estate and project management firm known for helping clients align their real estate and construction decisions with their broader organizational goals with practical market insights and straightforward advice. NTH clients benefit from decades of experience in the local market and a hands-on senior-level team. We also have the support the community via philanthropy, nonprofit board positions, and volunteer work.
In 2014, following John Tietz’s retirement, the firm changed its name to NTH, Inc., a shorter identity that reflected how clients and industry partners already knew the company. Today, NTH continues to build on the legacy established by its founders while remaining focused on the same principle that shaped the firm from the start: helping clients make informed, effective decisions about real estate and construction.
