Minnesota Valley National Wildlife Refuge Trust, Inc.

Project Objectives:

Construct a new bunkhouse and visitor center using sustainable design features while minimizing operation costs, enhancing visitor experience and preserving the historic and natural characteristics of the site.


Challenges:

Ensure that the funding provided by Minnesota Valley National Wildlife Refuge Trust would meet the functional requirements of the user, the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service.


Unique Solution:

Nelson, Tietz & Hoye's early involvement created a crucial understanding of the client's needs and budget challenges while assisting in the selection of a design and construction team that supported the goals of the project.  Nelson, Tietz & Hoye managed the strategic planning, design and construction of two pole barns, a bunkhouse and the visitor center.
