Finding
the right space for an office, making the appropriate design choices
and going through the construction process can take 9 to 12 months.
In today's demanding market, however, companies may need the whole
operation accomplished in six months.
For Crescendo Ventures, even six months was too long. The start-up
venture capital group wanted to be settled in new office space within
two months.
With this kind of deadline, the company needed help from someone
who possessed enough knowledge - both of the downtown office market
and of the design and construction process - to make things happen
at warp speed. That's why Crescendo Ventures turned to Nelson, Tietz
& Hoye.
"The realities of the time frame didn't allow for any missteps,"
says Russ Nelson of Nelson, Tietz & Hoye. "We immediately
identified potential buildings with Crescendo Ventures' senior management
and assembled the team that would ensure this project's success.
Crescendo helped the process by being decisive, focused and fun
to work with."
Nelson, Tietz & Hoye was able to quickly pull together detailed
information on the needs of Crescendo Ventures and its employees.
In addition, decision-makers from Crescendo Ventures were involved
up front, and always were available immediately for key decisions.
Realizing the timeline was ambitious, Crescendo Ventures relied
on Nelson, Tietz & Hoye to keep the vendors on track, and offered
a number of suggestions during the design phase that saved time,
yet resulted in a spectacular, highly functional new space.
